How to build a reliable loadout

Beatspell mode lets you equip up to 4 spell cards before a stage. Each spell activates automatically when its trigger condition is met. The key to a good build is consistency over ceiling — a build that fires reliably on every run beats one that occasionally produces huge scores.

  • Anchor with one shield spell. Rhythm Shield or Echo Guard absorbs mistakes, keeping your score intact on hard stages.
  • Layer synergies. Two spells that synergise are worth more than two unrelated high-value spells. The planner highlights active synergies automatically.
  • Match the stage difficulty. Speed spells are strongest on stages where you already have clean timing. Recovery spells are strongest on stages where you are still learning.
  • Verify in-game. Spell names and effects are based on early data — confirm exact behaviour in the game's Beatspell menu before a Perfect attempt.

See the Beatspell hub for a full breakdown of how the mode works, including phrase structure and scoring.
